Later today (Jan. 1, 2008) I will be pruning back all the forums to almost zero.

The whole dB is now archived offline, and I am currently making a separate archive of some of my favorite posts. I recommend you do the same, if you have written "good stuff" or have a favorite poster whose writings you want to save.

To locate and save posts, simply use the search function to search for posts by "author". Set it for ascending or descending and away you go.

There are still a few hours to do this -- then it's all gone.

And some of BY's attacks on me were truly monstrous!

Just re-reading XD defending Osama bin Laden as a prophet. Wow. It's funny that BY claimed I never posted to the P&W forum...I am finding dozens of posts there, including this response to XD (a guy with a useful amount of psychic talent, whom I later decided to block because of his anti-semitic tirades...I still stand by that decision):

It's probably a sign of the times that a person like Osama bin Laden can take to himself the mantle of "prophet" and even be freely offered that mantle by others.

Worse yet, the appelation "PBUH" (Peace Be Upon Him) which is reserved for Mohammed himself is used by some people in connection with Osama bin Laden.

In my opinion (and experience) any man or woman with a fairly average -or-better intuition or a modicum of genuine psychic insight can easily see that bin Laden is in no sense a prophet. In fact, he has no connection to God at all.

An intuitive reading of him finds him to be a completely demonic type, a denizen of shadowy regions of the psyche, a mind in bondage, cut off from spirit, grace, wisdom, and Divine Light.

That's why I say to call him a "prophet" is blasphemy. The term "prophet" is reserved for those who know God and who literally function as the expression and "word" of God, or the Wisdom Consciousness.

OBL in no sense functions as an expression of God, nor is he in any way, shape, or form connected to Wisdom.

However, he quite willingly takes to himself the mask or mantle of a person who does perform the function of divine prophet, and there are plenty of gullible folks around -- people blind to insight -- who are willing to fall for it. Many of them were brought up in Islam, but many others among OBL "devotees" were born as Christians and brought up in the Christian/Hebrew tradition of prophetic utterances.

It's a sad example of how simple facism -- masking itself as prophetic religion -- can cast its spell on the masses, when you see otherwise intelligent people captured in the bin Laden myth. Once captured, they lose all sense. Being (in their imaginations) people of moral virture and advanced critical faculties, they now become complicit in falsehood, murder, and violation of the truely sacred.

So it was in Germany, before the War, when ordinary citizens fell under the spell of Nazism. So it is now, in the 21st century, when common people are swept up in the bin Laden delusion.

I don't really have more to say about this, although I weep that it should happen to people I otherwise respect, and who "could have been contenders" in the evolution of consciousness. Instead, they have fallen into retrogression and surrender to a dark and murderous archetype, a node of self and will that would drag the world down to chaos.

Their own destruction is assured -- because they join themselves to the fate that is already accomplished, in the spirit, for Osama bin Laden.
